KPMG is a generous returning partner of LiON’S LAIR. We chatted with Managing Partner at KPMG Enterprise, Ruth Todd, about why KPMG stays involved with the LiON’S LAIR competition – here’s what she had to say:

Please, tell us about your business!

You know KPMG, but you might not know KPMG Enterprise. Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to get started, an innovative, fast-growing company, or an established company looking to an exit, we understand what is important to business owners and their stakeholders and can help you navigate your challenges – no matter the size and stage of your business.

As Managing Partner, I lead the Hamilton and St. Catharines offices of over 120 professional and support staff. We offer a full range of industry focused audit and accounting, corporate and specialty tax, and advisory services. Our approach to service reflects our commitment to the broader communities of Hamilton, Halton and Niagara regions, and to the needs of local, national, and international companies based in our community.

Why did you/your business decide to (generously!) support this year’s LiON’S LAIR competition? How has partnering with LiON’S LAIR helped your business?

Passion, it’s what drives entrepreneurs, family businesses and fast growing companies alike. It’s also what inspires KPMG Enterprise advisors to help our clients drive success. LiON’S LAIR is a great program that fosters and celebrates entrepreneurs who are passionate about what they do and what they have created. It’s a natural fit for our firm. These talented entrepreneurs will help drive future growth and opportunity in Hamilton. When we support entrepreneurs, we all win.

What was your favourite part about last year’s competition and/or gala?

The LiON’S LAIR gala is such an impressive event. It shows how strong and committed the business community is to the future of Hamilton and the next generation of entrepreneurs. An inspiring and great evening.

What are you most looking forward to in this year’s competition?

I look forward to learning more about the finalists – such a talented group of entrepreneurs with some very unique products and service offerings.

Anything you’d like to say to this year’s finalists?

Congratulations to all the finalists! No matter the outcome, you are all winners and we look forward to hearing about your ongoing future success.

How can we connect with you/your company?
